Two Questions to See Yourself Differently With ChatGPT

You share your plans, your doubts, and what's worrying you. But have you ever asked what comes through in those conversations?

These two questions invite you to notice patterns in what you share and think about what you want to change moving forward.

What have you revealed without realizing it?

A topic you keep coming back to. A plan you keep putting off. A quality you may not appreciate enough. The first question asks ChatGPT to look at the available context and offer examples for you to evaluate.

Prompt 1 · A look at your conversations

What do you notice about me that I may not have noticed, based on our previous conversations? Give examples.

Take this reflection into the future

The second question shifts the focus: after looking at what you've been sharing, what questions would you like to answer some time from now?

Prompt 2 · Questions for your future self

Based on what you know about me, create five questions for my future self.

“Have you finally started what you wanted so much, or are you still waiting to feel ready?”

This is an example from the video. The questions you receive may be different.

How to try it

  1. Choose a conversation where you've already shared your plans, doubts, or goals.
  2. Send the first question and read the examples provided.
  3. Ask for clarification when an observation feels vague.
  4. Send the second question in the same conversation.
  5. Save the five questions to answer now and revisit later.

If context is missing, share a little about your routine, your plans, and what you're trying to decide. Share only what you feel comfortable sharing.

Make the response a reflection of your own

You can ask: “Which part of our conversation led you to that observation?” The responses are interpretations of the available context. Use the examples to assess what makes sense for you.

A founder's perspective

A good question can make room for a fresh perspective.

Sometimes, the most interesting part of using artificial intelligence is the question it helps us formulate. These two prompts invite us to look more closely at what we share and what we want to do moving forward.
