What is vibe coding?
Vibe coding is a way of building applications by describing, in natural language, what you want to create. Artificial intelligence interprets the instructions and helps generate the code, the interface and part of the features.
Instead of starting by writing every line of code, you can start by explaining the problem, who will use the solution and what the app needs to do.
You do not need to write the code from scratch, but you still need to define the problem well, test the result and review security, privacy and how it works.
Meet AI for App Building
AI for App Building is a beginner course that teaches how to use natural language and Google AI Studio to build applications for real workplace needs.
It is part of the Google AI Professional Certificate and can be taken self-paced on Coursera.

Building a first version does not mean being ready for the market
The course can help you build a first functional solution. That does not mean any app produced during the class will automatically be ready to receive customers, payments or confidential information.

- test different scenarios
- check permissions and access
- assess privacy and security
- fix errors
- improve the user experience
- plan for maintenance
- validate that the solution really solves the problem
Artificial intelligence lowers the technical barrier. It does not remove the need for planning, testing and responsibility.
Does the course offer a certificate?
Yes. AI for App Building offers a shareable certificate upon completion, subject to Coursera's enrollment terms. It can be added to a LinkedIn profile.
This individual course certificate is different from the complete Google AI Professional Certificate. Earning the full professional certificate requires completing all courses in the program.
How much does it cost and how does enrollment work?
AI for App Building is part of the Google AI Professional Certificate offered on Coursera. Google currently lists a subscription of US$49 per month in the United States and Canada for access to the full program. Prices and terms may vary by country, account, promotion or enrollment type.
